black people were stripped of our identity after slavery and segregation took a
terrible toll on us. We were uprooted and shipped off away from our homeland
about most importantly our history. Our ancestors were enslaved and stripped
back of their independence, pride and identity and needlessly transported throughout the whole of America.

radicals are the only ones that recognise that we need to regain an understanding
of our African heritage. We can empower ourselves by diving into our history
and finding early examples of black radical groups overthrowing oppressors and
gaining back their freedom. We can also become a stronger unit together by
feeling apart of the global struggle that has cursed African for centuries.
Most importantly we can build our self-esteem, self-respect, independence and
pride.
We are black! Not Negro, not coloured and certainly not African-American. These terms purely associated with our negative past. That’s why we fought and succeeded that by the 1960’s these hateful terms were abolished.
